2025-2030 Comprehensive Capital Improvements Plan (CCIP)
Community economic development improves the quality of life and economic opportunities for a community through targeted initiatives and strategic planning. Emphasizing the importance of community engagement and capacity building, economic drivers can include: building infrastructure capacity to support new development; investing in existing infrastructure and facilities; preservation of local culture and resources and, recognizing areas that may be challenging and unique to our region.
The County has recently untaken a number of economic development projects reflecting: Infrastructure Improvement in buildings, roads, bridges, and public transportation; offering tax breaks or grants to attract new business; providing training opportunities for workforce development; renewable energy projects; community revitalization; connecting small businesses to training and funding resources; and, creating planning documents that identify and prioritize projects.

Courthouse Renovation Project
Stillwater County is undergoing an interior renovation of the historic Stillwater County Courthouse focusing on preserving the building's character, while modernizing essential spaces that serve the community on a daily basis. The renovation will improve functionality, accessibility, and safety. By investing in this landmark structure, the project will ensure that vital county services continue to operate in a safe, efficient, manner.
Once completed, this historic building will be able to continue to serve the citizens of Stillwater County for generations to come.
